Tariff Classification This is a discussion of the classification of goods in order to determine if there is duty charged for the goods. It is the responsibility of the importer of record to classify goods they are bringing into the U.S. not only for determination of duty but also for other purposes such as determining if the goods are subject to quota, restraints, embargos or other restrictions.
