Documentary Collections A commonly used method of payment in international trae transactions is a documentary collection. This document describes the two types of documentary collections, Documents against Payment (aka D/P, Sight Draft and CAD) where payment is due upon presentation of documents and Documents against Acceptance where the seller is granting payment terms to the buyer.
