A Success Story
Peter and Yolanda launched Carrasco Janitorial Service in 1989 as a side business while Peter worked as a janitor with the school district. A local family encouraged them and spread the word about their high-quality work. The business grew by word of mouth.
"People started believing in us and saw the kind of work we did in the janitorial business," says Yolanda. When they needed help with the complex paperwork required to run a business, Peter and Yolanda called the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College and were introduced to one of the Business Advisors, Marty Schulz. "He's been a great help," said Peter. "He'd show us the whole picture to help us decide which way to go." |
