After being employed as an office manager for over 16 years, Betty Moore not only wanted to, but also knew she needed to make a change. She had for some time thought that the Ontario area could benefit from a one-stop shop-shipping center. A few years back she had attended a class through the TVCC BizCenter on opening your own business. This is something she was very much interested in and had visions of opening a shipping center, however the timing was not right at that time. Sometime in the spring of 2003 Betty saw an ad in the classifieds that PAKMAIL was searching for someone to open a shipping center in Ontario. With the support of family and friends, she made the decision to check into purchasing the Franchise. After researching PAK
MAIL and other shipping centers she knew that PAKMAIL was the one that would be the best fit for her. In June Betty purchased the Franchise and in July attended a 2-week training seminar in Denver Colorado. Remembering the BizCenter Betty returned for a little advice. What she found was a staff that is very knowledgeable and very helpful. She received much more than the advice she was looking for. The staff was there for her with anything she needed help with. They gave Betty the guidance she
needed to complete her business plan, advice that helped her make a decision on where her location would be and information on financing a small business and referrals
to any other information Betty needed.
