Our Greatest Success so far – “Success is the
enjoyment we glean in seeing our clients happy
and satisfied with the products they’ve ordered.”
History
Imagine Stoneworks is in its fourth year of business
and over a period of about six months, have
had the opportunity to put the business in approximately 13
markets in the western United States.
They chose Bend for two reasons. It’s a growing
market insofar as the type of homes that could use
their services and they are very active recreationally.
Like any business, they’ve learned a lot along
the way, and even with the sudden turn in the
housing market, they’re scheduled out farther than
ever.
Partnership with SBDC
Trent and Rob began working with a BDC advisor
and the COCC Small Business Management
program. The thing they valued most was the one-on-
one time with the advisor and the background
he brought to the table. Without bias, he provided
a neutral viewpoint combined with hard facts and
ideas of how they could expand or grow their
business. It’s up to the individual to take it from
there.
Celebrating Success
Imagine Stoneworks is specifically focused on
stone slabs and custom orders. It is a location for
someone to come and get design work on their
kitchen or bathroom. They manufacture furniture
and take it from design through fabrication,
measure the product, install and service it afterward.
In other words, they supply their clients
with natural stone like granite, marble, slate or
limestone. “We’ve tried to remain small without
losing sight of what we really do and pride ourselves
in our customer service.”
A year ago they added an engineered stone line
which is a man-made quartz product with 93 percent
quartz and seven percent resin. It fit into
their business mold, gave them another niche in
the market and a way to offer their customers a
different type of product. The stone comes in
exotic colors like oranges, limes, and blues.
Slightly different from a natural stone, it’s more
durable and stain resistant.
The thing that drives Trent and Rob the most is
that at the end of a project there’s such a great
tangible piece to it. They have the benefit of
coming in at the end of a project, so they get to
see the whole house or the whole commercial
project almost completed before installing this
beautiful piece of stone.
