Whipper-Snippers Whipper-Snippers is a family-oriented, family owned destination salon, dedicated to making hair care fun. Since August of 2008, Bob and Glenna Harris have been providing a very special hair care experience for moms, dads and kids of all ages. Whipper-Snippers differentiated themselves by specializing in first haircuts for kids. If you have children you may remember this experience with less than fond thoughts. But the Harris Family designed their business to provide a positive hair care experience for each of their clients, big and small.
As you might imagine starting a business during a down turn in our economy has had some challenges. Bob and Glenna have turned to the Clackamas SBDC to support them. They have taken advantage of several workshops offered by the SBDC and work with the counseling team to help them in the areas of business they need help. Glenna says "That's such an amazing advantage!...This past year has been a whirlwind--starting a small business is never easy, but being a recession start-up has presented unique challenges. I am thankful for the SBDC (because I am able to) tap into a team that is very much rooting for my success."
