This year-long program that includes free business advising also includes the following three, five-week classes: YOUR BUSINESS PLAN begins Fall Term 2008. Get organized, get focused, and get funded! Business planning plays an important part in the success of a small business. This course will provide a step-by-step approach to completing your business plan. UNDERSTANDING YOUR FINANCIAL STATEMENTS is offered Winter Term 2009 for five weeks, Feb. 10, 17, 24, Mar. 3, 10, 2009, 2pm-5pm, Corvallis Benton Center BC-105; Understanding Financial statements will help you "keep score" in your business. Know the critical numbers for your particular business for profitability, labor expenses and gross margin. Learn to analyze and understand the balance sheet, and discover how financial institutions determine how much you can borrow, what your net worth is, and how other businesses in your industry are performing. Discover the importance of cash flow statements.YOUR MARKETING PLAN begins spring term 2009, April 21, April 28, May 5, 12, 19, 2009, 2:00pm-5:00pm, Corvallis Benton Center Room BC-105. Reduce guesswork and increase your marketing effectiveness. Learn what makes your product unique and build on that uniqueness to market your idea at minimum cost to you and your business.
