About OSBDCN

The Oregon Small Business Development Center Network (OSBDCN) provides advising, training, online courses and resources for businesses throughout our state. Our 19 conveniently-located Centers assist business people like you in every aspect of business development and management.

Oregon’s SBDCs deliver our services to anyone who owns or operates a business or is planning to start a business. We work with businesses in every industry and at every stage of growth from start-ups to well-established companies, from one employee to 500. In addition to no-cost confidential advising, we offer training and online courses that cover a wide range of business topics.

The Oregon Small Business Development Network was launched in 1983 and is part of a national network of Small Business Development Centers. The Oregon Network is a well-established partnership between 17 Oregon community colleges, two state universities, the US Small Business Administration and the Oregon Business Development Department.

  • Training including live informational sessions that meet once, in-depth classes, and online webinars

  • Programs in areas like Small Business Management that can include classroom education, one-to-one coaching from an advisor, and networking with owners of other small businesses who are participating in the program

How Much Does It Cost?

Through 19 Centers around the state, the Oregon Small Business Development Center Network (OSBDCN) provides confidential, one-to-one advising at no cost to Oregon businesses and to Oregonians that are starting a new business.

And how do we deliver top quality services without charging you? We’re funded by the US Small Business Administration, the Oregon Business Development Department and our host community colleges and universities. There are nominal fees for some of our trainings, online courses, programs, and other resources. For more details, go to these areas of the website.

How Do I Get Started?

Our advising and training services usually begin at one of our 19 Oregon Centers. All SBDC advisors have real-world business management experience, and they can provide valuable guidance that is specific to your business needs. To schedule a confidential, no-cost meeting with an advisor at the nearest Center, register here.
